    Self-Employed FAQ

Business write-offs lower your taxable income. That helps at tax time, but it can make you look like you earn less on a standard mortgage application. Many banks only offer programs based on tax returns. As a broker, Fluxx has access to programs that look at how your money actually comes in.

Not always. Depending on your situation, you may be able to qualify with:

    • Personal or business bank statements
    • Your 1099s
    • A CPA-prepared profit and loss statement
    • Your verified assets
